About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary

I don't know where to start! From my first visit to the eye dept.. Last year Until 2 ops later I come away everytime with nothing but praise for every member of staff I have had contact with! The care is on another level! The staff are worth their weight in gold all of them ! and we truly have a hospital to be proud of! I have felt nothing but confident and safe in their expert hands! I've felt very able to speak to all levels of staff ... Nothing is too much trouble for them ! There just amazing I truly have no words to describe their worth! I might of waited 90 mins for my appointment today but I'd wait 9 hours without complaint for that level of care! Outstanding ! Today I'm a very happy tearful woman Dr you said you would do your best ... I honestly can't put into words how I feel right now nor thank you enough for what I'm looking at today! Bless you all !

We acknowledge that sometimes there may be delays in clinic due the demand on our services and investigations and treatment that are needed on the day and appreciate your understanding of this. We are continually endeavouring to improve the service and the patient experience.

We trust that you will continue to receive the excellent standard of care in the future should you need to be seen again in the Newcastle Eye Centre at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
