I accompanied an elderly friend to an out-patients clinic today, relating to my friend's possible circulatory problem. From the moment we arrived my friend was treated extremely pleasantly and efficiently - by the receptionist, the HCA & the doctor. My friend was put at ease straight away & we were called by the HCA almost immediately for blood pressure, height & weight checks. We then went straight in to see the doctor who made my friend very welcome & talked through her recent medical history & other symptoms. After a short physical examination, the doctor explained what they were going to recommend for further tests & the possible outcome & further treatment. The doctor spoke very clearly as my friend has hearing difficulties but at the same time they did not talk down to her. We left the clinic feeling that the whole appointment had gone very smoothly & within a very good time-frame. My friend went home feeling very positive & reassured about the situation. As a carer I was very impressed at how well my friend was treated & could not fault the whole experience.
"Very good clinic appointment"
