I had an inaugural hernia operation. I was referred here as an nhs patient so was expecting great service as its a private hospital. The Consultant made me feel like I was a burden on them and treated me with no respect or professionally. After my op, they popped their head in and smiled before going to the next cubicle to talk to the patient for half hour (obviously a private one).....on my follow up appointments I was only in there 10 seconds each time, and even when I told them I was suffering from pain in my groin, they dismissed it was anything to do with them, and told me to see my gp! the icing on the cake that made me realise I was being treated so different to the private patients was when they made this remark 'can you please tell your go that we accept private patients to'!?! they actually said that to me! can you believe it? 6 months later and I'm writing this review from the royal London hospital in Whitechapel, and have severe chronic pain in my groin from my hernia operation that they so kindly did! seeing as under 5% of inaugural hernia patients develop this after having an operation, it makes me wonder if they just rushed my operation, seeing as they weren't getting paid for it, and now I may have this chronic pain for the rest of my life!.... All I have to say is thank you, thanks for ruining my life with your uncaring and unprofessional duties!
