"Appointment cancellations"

About: Newham General Hospital

Have just been in for an appointment scheduled on the 28th May (which was a rebooking from urology) to be told at reception my appointment has been changed again to a later date which I did not receive a letter or a call about. Have now had to take days off work which wasn't needed. When you can eventually get through to someone (by phone) at this department you are made to feel it is your own personal fault. These appointments are set up 3-4 months in advance and twice they have been cancelled by urology.

We are sorry to read of your experience whilst coming to hospital to attend your appointment in our Urology Service. We apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused you and for having to take unnecessary days off of work.

Your feedback has been sent over to the urology team so that they are aware of this occurrence but for us to look into this in more detail and to check your appointments we need you to provide us with more information.
