Spent 14 hours on a trolley in a and e 'majors'. Then transferred to the assessment unit. No doctor came near me until at least another 8 hours had passed and only after my wife complained about the lack of care. Then told I shouldn't be on that unit and transferred somewhere else at 10.30pm. Then told I could go home the next day with further medication. Ward staff said medication had been ordered at 10am and I finally received it at 3.45pm. No wonder there's a crisis and a shortage of beds. Very inefficient and very little communication. Felt like a nuisance when asking questions.
