"Dental Surgery."

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital (Harlow)

(as the patient),

The hospital has dropped from 'fairly good' to a 'dangerous place to attend' in my opinion.

I was due to an appointment about 4 months ago. I went, and they told me they couldn't do it due to my blood sugar level.

I was then given 2 more appointments at which the same was said, however, at the 3rd appointment I was told to stop taking warfarin 3 days before the next appointment.

I did this and, using the form the dentists gave me, I had it done an hour before the appointment.

The blood tester didn't get it checked in the time as it said, and I was sat in the dental waiting room for almost 2 hours. Finally a staff nurse came up to me and said, 'have you had the blood test done? ' looking at the plaster on my arm! !

Then they rushed about and found out that my blood hadn't yet been sent to the laboratory.

Eventually they found that out and had it tested.

The dental staff then said I could go into the surgery and have the extractions done. As I hadn't taken Warfarin for their instructed time, I wasn't feeling very well, however I said do it, and they went ahead.

They seemed quite amused at what they were doing, and, as I suspected, they couldn't care less about the problems and pain they were causing.

They finally finished at about 1640, and THEN they decided to tell me about the problems they may have caused.

I cannot give you any more information as I have arranged for Television Interviews regarding the incompetence of the staff.
