About: Gravesham Community Hospital

I have a suspected broken finger due to an accident yesterday. I drove to the hospital myself only to be told we are very sorry we don't have xray on a weekend. Are you serious. So now I am driving another 10 miles out of my way for an xray. So basically I pay my taxes so a hospital can decide to cause inconvenience on a weekend.

Dear Kelv We are very sorry that you were unaware that the X-Ray Department at Gravesham Community Hospital is only open Monday-Friday 8.30 am – 5 pm and that you had a wasted journey. The X-Ray service is actually provided by the acute trust and these are the opening hours they are commissioned to provide by NHS Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). The opening times are published on our website (Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust) as we run the Minor Injury Unit. Please note that as a result of your review we have now asked NHS Choices to include the X-ray department opening times on their website. Apologies again for the inconvenience caused to you on Saturday.
