"Consultant and the front line ..."

About: Stafford Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Consultant and the front line Staff who did their best despite always being short of staff on every shift.

What could be improved

Communication between consultants moreover correct drug control as I was given an overdose however no one did a tox screen to find out why they could not wake me. Moreover a tox screen would have shown who had given me the overdose.

Anything else?

On the one evening there was one healthcare assistant to 28 patients on the ward. According to the Matron the next day she claimed the healthcare worker was exaggerating albeit several of us could count to 1 and did so and those of us who could count to 28 did so therefore the healthcare worker was telling the truth.

The telephones and bed TV's were filthy and according to the company they had no one on site to clean them.
