My son had eye surgery yesterday and I have to say how marvellous they were. The surgeon and surgical team were fantastic with him and made his first hospital visit less daunting. He was admitted onto ward 11 promptly by a lovely, well organised team. He was seen promptly by the surgeon and the anaesthetists who explained everything to him in a way which he could understand. A lovely member of staff from the surgical team also came round with pictures and equipment to explain the procedure, which was done in a wonderful way. His surgery was prompt and went very well. I was kept well informed and taken straight to him when he woke up. Ward 11 was clean and friendly and made my sons visit much more pleasant than I thought it would be. Thank you for looking after him so well and to the surgeon for organising a follow up on Tuesday.
