"The Labour Ward and in particular ..."

What I liked The Labour Ward and in particular Midwifery staff at the Central Delivery Suite were fantastic, they could not be faulted. The quality of care and the entire experience was improved by willing, helpful and freindly Doctors, Nurses, Midwives and other staff. All were excelent there was not one person in that unit that could have done more for my wife. What could be improved? Ward 58 in the Maternity block is outdated and does not serve the function well. the staff are constantly trying to keep up and keep the ward clean and it is obvious that staffing is not as adequate as a large ward like this needs. Hopefully the logistics and functionality will be improved when the new Maternity unit opens in 2009.
