"Extremely satisfied"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

I gave birth to my little girl who is 6 months now at QMC maternity department. I've heard many different reviews of this hospital and was ready for the worst. But what a wonderful care I received! Everyone, I mean everyone were super friendly and helpful. My little blondie was born 11 January, 2015 at 8.20am I want to say extremely warm thank you to the midwives and other staff. Best experience ever. Couldn't say one bad word about your care.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby daughter. It’s great to hear how wonderful your care was and how friendly and welcoming you found our staff to be. I hope you and your daughter are doing well. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience in our care, which I have sent to colleagues in Maternity.

It is concerning to read that you have heard ‘mixed reviews’ about our service. I hope that your experience goes some way to reassuring you that, while we don’t get it right 100% of the time and there is always room for improvement, that most women report a good experience with us (as evidenced with our ‘Friends and Family’ Test scores).

You might be interested to know that nominations are open for our NUHonours Awards (our annual staff awards). In light of your experience you might wish to nominate a staff member or a staff team (your nomination would fall under the Family Health category). If you want to, you can nominate via our website: http://www.nuh.nhs.uk/nuhonours/

Kind regards,

Kay Khan.

Maternity matron.
