I had my first ever hospital visit in July. I went to the A&E due to an abscess on my arm. Though the wait was quite long, the service of the hospital was amazing. I was explained at every stage what to expect next. The staff were so friendly and made me feel so comfortable.I was put in SAU overnight. The nurses who attended to me were so cheerful (given the unearthly hours they were working). A surgeon saw me at 3am and said they would put me on the emergency list for draining the abscess, and explained what has happened and what they would do in simple terms. In the morning, the nurse kindly provided me with toiletries to freshen up as I had not come prepared for overnight stay. I was then shifted to another ward where I stayed till my discharge in the evening. The nurses there were also extremely nice. I was taken to the OT by about 10:15am. By 11:30, I was done and put back on the ward. The procedure went smoothly. I had no discomfort at any point of time. The staff were very polite and showed so much care and empathy. Food was awesome! The catering staff were great too. They tried to give me the best possible option in food though I had not placed an order the previous day. Also, all the places I had been in the hospital were very clean. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at Lister hospital for your service. You are doing an amazing job! Keep up the good work. This was my first hospital stay in my life and you have made it memorable. Appreciate all your hard work. Money cannot buy the care and empathy that you exhibit. Thank you all again :)
"Very grateful patient"
