"Ward 8A Indifferent Miserable Nursing attitudes."

About: Gloucestershire Royal Hospital

Took my brother to the toilet, noticed his urine was dark, skin & mouth dry, jug & bottle of juice full. Informed nursing assistant of this at nursing station who appeared uninterested & said that both sisters had just gone and that they were not back until the next day in the afternoon. Asked to speak to nurse in charge, NA found staff nurse in charge then informed me that I would have to wait until they had finished the drug round. The staff nurse seen me within less than a minute. I expressed my concerns & was informed that family would have to phone in the morning to speak to the nurse in charge, also that dark urine may be due to another cause, but did not say what they also promised to push fluids.? I said thank you and left with little faith in the nursing staff. x2 positive medical discussions 1 earlier in the day over the phone and then during my visit, where my brother & I were treated with respect given clear information with choices and options.
