"Arriving Very Late For My Appointment unsatisfying appointment"

My transport car picked me up from home 10 mins later then the time I should have arrived at Scunthorpe Gen. Hospital, Blue Sky Imaging Suite, for Ultra Sound, We then had to pick up from Goole, (the person was upset as they had expected to be picked up at 2pm) The Driver very nice and sorry they had informed the department they were running late at 11 30am.

Well as I was explaining at the reception why I was so late, a nurse came for me, took me into a small room introduced a member of staff, told me to lay on the trolley, asked where my lump were. i told the member of staff upper arm. The member of staff said to the nurse they couldn't see it, the nurse did nothing so I said I will take my top off, (As it is very near my arm pit and I did not want gel on my top) Nurse said have you got a vest on? No i said just a Bra. The nurse covered me with some tissue paper, and the member of staff could then do the scan, not very long, a little pain not enough to moan about, When finished told by the nurse to wipe the gel off my arm and Get Dressed, my Doctor will get the results in 5/10 days.

I Said is it any good asking if you have seen anything now? The member of staff said it is Fat! you felt no pain. Well as I informed the nurse i was shown out-I have a high pain level.

With that my ambulance driver came for me, at least they then knew that excuse was true.

I am telling this as I think the kindest thing to do to anyone else is cancel and rearrange the appointment. What should have been as pleasant an experience as your other letters show, I am sorry but from start to finish this has been very very stressful,
