About: Dirrans Centre

(as a parent/guardian),

Dirrans has been a god send.

It’s been great for my son to have something to do as he couldn’t go back to college. He enjoys doing the things here, he’s learning skills that will hopefully help with his career.

The best thing is the counseling, this is something the NHS couldn’t provide. It’s been excellent, we’re getting back on track.

It’s a valuable service, everyone makes you feel welcome. Without them I don’t think I’d have a son, it was all so stressful.

As a suggestion for improvement I would like to have a bit more communication from the staff as I don’t always get a lot from my son.

Dirrans has been the only place that has actually helped us.

Thank you for taking the time to tell your story.

I am delighted to hear that you and your son have benefitted from the services we provide at the Dirrans Centre. We have received a lot of positive feedback on the person centred counselling sessions and are hoping to continue with this very valuable service.

I will ensure that staff keep you up to date with what is going on in the centre as I am aware that information does not always reach home! Hope you will find our carers drop-in on the last Monday of the month helpful and an opportunity to become involved in centre activities.
