"Opthamology Department"

About: Eastbourne District General Hospital

It seems this department is overly over-stretched, both in doctors in attendance and answering phone calls. There seems to have been a deterioration in the general services, which I suspect is due to government cuts, but I get the impression that some of the opthamologists are not completely trained, as I encountered one some months ago who seemed to need to consult others all the time and wasn't completely confident of the findings. I appreciate your difficulties but please try and improve this so-important department, on which so many people who have poor sight rely on entirely,.
