About: Eastbourne District General Hospital

It seems this department is overly over-stretched, both in doctors in attendance and answering phone calls. There seems to have been a deterioration in the general services, which I suspect is due to government cuts, but I get the impression that some of the opthamologists are not completely trained, as I encountered one some months ago who seemed to need to consult others all the time and wasn't completely confident of the findings. I appreciate your difficulties but please try and improve this so-important department, on which so many people who have poor sight rely on entirely,.

Please be assured that your comments will be shared with the Clinical Lead for Ophthalmology, Director of Operations and Administration Manager to consider and act appropriately upon.
