"Without our NHS it would be a different story"

About: Northern Ireland Ambulance Service The Ulster Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Another positive post about our NHS, Ulster Hospital and ambulance service...

Yesterday morning my son took a febrile convulsion, although I didn't know what was happening when the seizure started.

I had to ring 999 and an ambulance was here sooo quickly to save him, as with his chronic lung disease he was a horrible colour...

If it wasn't for the fitting I would have thought he was dead. He got oxygen and as soon as he was round enough he was given calpol, at rapid response the staff could not have been more helpful or efficient! They explained everything to me in layman's terms so I understood what was happening. Thank god he is a lot better today

But without our NHS it would be a very different story. Once again they saved my wee soldier's life!
