I recently had my second child at Russells Hall From the moment we rang to say that my contractions had started everyone we spoke to was pleasant and helpful. When we arrived the security staff knew who we were and where we should be directed to. We both thought that the facilities in the unit were excellent especially being able to make your own drinks and the changing stand was super, also having your own bathroom was a real bonus the shower was wonderful! The midwife and trainee midwife were both very helpful and pleasant. It made the delivery as pleasant as is possible!!! And nice and quick from arriving at 7.30am we were holding our son by 10.30am!

Having had my daughter at Wordsley five years ago I have to say I was unsure about Russells Hall and how it would compare. I was both surprised and delighted by the whole experience.

Having said that we wanted to go home the same day the staff were very good at keeping us informed as to what was happening and how long things were likely to take.
