"fantastic,hardworking, caring and understand staff"

About: Worthing Hospital

my daughter was first admitted by ambulance at the end July 2014, she was transferred to Bluefin ward and stayed for 4 days, the staff were fantastic with her trying to work out what was wrong, reassuring her fears when she had to have test after test, it was then decided she had silent asthma, after being discharged we managed a week at home before having another attack, again rushed in by ambulance, we had the HDR room by the nurses station and my daughter was checked constantly, again the staff were amazing. After 5 days we were again discharged feeling better, but 3 days later and the day after her 6 birthday she had another massive attack. Rushed in by ambulance and straight in to the Hdu room (which seemed like home after being in it so many times). The staff worked effortlessly trying to help my daughter as she got worse and worse. The Dr that night was amazing and they certainly saved her life, she became very very poorly and had to go onto a ventilator, the Dr and nurse came with us to theatre and constantly talked us through everything that was going on, they then worked alongside the hospital team that came down from London to transfer us to the Evelina.. All the staff we encountered at worthing hospital from the Amulance crews, A&E staff, Bluefin ward and from Theatre were totally amazing and we will be eternally grateful to them all for saving our daughter.. When in London we were told that one of the nurses who always seemed to be on shift when we were at Worthing and was our nurse had rung to see how she was doing.. Now that is caring in your job..
