"Wasted my time and NHS resources twice"

About: Alexandra Hospital

I was given a dating scan letter to say I had an appointment at the hospital. I am 18 weeks so I called and informed them it should be an anomaly scan as I already had my dating scan at 13 weeks in Nottingham. I told them I would not be having my baby here as I was just passing through but would need my anomaly scan done as there is a certain window for it to be done and I would not have moved by the time that elapsed. They insisted I come in for booking bloods and so I did, on arrival I waited an hour to be seen and was told they forgot to pass on my notes to the relevant people so nobody knew I was there and then when I finally saw the person they said I didnt need to even come and gave me an anomaly scan appointment letter and sent me on my way. I arrived for my anomaly scan today to be told I was booked in too early at 18+5 I need to be seen at 18+6 and sent me on my way again with another letter. Suffice to say I can't wait get this scan out the way in two weeks and as far away from the hospital as possible!!
