"MoHs surgery, day patient"

About: Royal Free Hospital

I am a 52 year old woman who was referred to the RFH as I had re-occurring basal cell carcinoma to the forehead. I had previously had it removed (twice) privately, which was clearly less than effective. The RF dermatology team decided that the Mohs treatment was the way forward and this was performed in January 2015. I have nothing but the highest regard for the skin cancer team there. They are kind, respectful, calm and informative. The surroundings were clean and orderly, I was provided with refreshments whilst waiting for my results that day. All in all, whilst I was apprehensive about the procedure I felt very looked after and safe. I only wish I had taken this route 3 years ago at the start of the problem! Well done and thanks especially to the Specialist Nurse, who was extremely kind and very pleasant! Wendy Gould

Hi there, thanks very much for your feedback, we're delighted you had a good experience. I will pass your comments on to the team in dermatology. Many thanks, Rachel (digital communications manager).
