Good Morning, I wanted to praise this hospital for the excellent care I have received. The two practicioners involved were a Consultant from Trauma and Orthopaedics and a Senior Physiotherapist. I broke my patella in Jan 14 requiring pinning and wiring undertaken at the DGH in Eastbourne. I was transferred for all follow up to the RSCH. After extensive discussions with the Consultant and Senior Physiotherapist over the next 12 months about the trouble I was having recovering from the original surgery I decided to have the metalwork removed in Feb 15. The operation was a complete success. After not being able to walk very far and in considerable pain I have so far this year completed a 70 mile walk over 6 consecutive days and been able to cycle extensively, recently completing a 50 mile ride. It means my outdoor life style can resume. It was down to the Consultant's excellent surgery and the Senior Physiotherapists therapy programme that got me to were I am and I wanted to thank them both. I know they are using thier extensive skills every day and many will have stories such as mine but hope they see this feedback as just one small example of the success they are acheiving. Thank you. Jefferson Collard
