"A & E and Admissions ward"

I was taken to A & E on Tuesday at 2.45 by ambulance after fainting at home and hitting my head and cutting my eyebrow. The staff in A&E were very attentive and courteous when looking after me. I did wait about 3 hours to see a Doctor because they were very busy but the nurses kept observing me regularly. Eventually transferred to Amissions ward for further observation. The staff on the Admissions were very attentive and courteous again and took kept me informed at all times. The food served on the ward was excellent, with plenty of choice. A few years ago I was admitted for an operation and the food was dreadful then. The only complaint is that after seeing the Doctor to be discharged, it took a very long time to receive medication from pharmacy. There is a leaflet on the ward which does say it can take up to 4 hours for medication to arrive. I understand that this an extremely busy hospital but 4 hours is a long time to wait which is blocking beds for the next admissions. However I would defiantly choose to go to Sunderland Royal Hospital again should I need to.
