About: Southmead Hospital

Was sat in southmead A&E waiting for 3 hours to go in, the doctor was not nice at all wasn't being gentle and was ignoring if we were asking questions. Then told to go back in at 9 in the morning the next day, he was having an operation that we didn't even know about, and we were waiting around for nearly 7 hours for him to go in. Need to sort out their timing in there and doctors! Didn't feel comfortable at all.

Dear Anonymous - I was sorry to learn of your poor experience when visiting A&E with your boyfriend. Quite clearly there was a communication breakdown as you should have both been kept informed of the wait times and of the proposed plan of treatment and reason for attending an appointment the next day. I am sorry for the obvious frustration this poor communication will have caused and assure you your comments have been shared with the service so improvements can be made.
