Below is some feedback recieved from carers who recently attended a 'Careing for Carers' event day at Rampton Hospital on Sat 13th June 2015. The day was linked to national Carers Week and consisted of info stands, talks, patient works for sale, craft making sessions, lunch, pampering sessions (kindly provided by 'ESCAPE' in Retford) and lastly a tombola and raffle which raich raised £230 towards the League of Friends - Rampton Hospital. Most importantly, it was a way for the hospital to express its gratitude to the carers, family members and friends who attended and to give value to the support they give to aid patients recovery.
"Very good day as always, the talk and feedbacks were interesting and informative. Especially Julie Hall’s speech. "
"Pampering - I hardly get time for myself and I felt very relaxed after having reflexology and a manicure. "
"Thoroughly enjoyed the day. Good to get to know more carers. Interesting to learn what is on offer and what support is given. "
"The lunch was superb and we have bought a number of plants for our garden. "
"The staff were really helpful, they went out of their way to answer queries and be generally approachable and positive. "
"Staff extremely welcoming and helpful, good sense of humour. Workshops were very well thought out & food excellent as usual. "
"It was readily apparent how much time, effort and thought you lot had put into organising the whole thing and making sure it went smoothly. It was also clear how much you’ve all invested into forming connections with all the carers who visit. "
