My son's sore throat got rapidly worse on a Saturday; he was unable to eat or drink and talked with great difficulty. The emergency GP at the Cowley medical centre phoned the JR ENT department to arrange an appointment. Within an hour my son was receiving surgical treatment, within two he was able to talk and take liquids. Diagnosis was rapid , treatment followed immediately. All the medical professionals we encountered were kind, not just to my son but to all the family on visiting.
