I found my midwife amazing, it was the care I received on the ward that was most upsetting. I was made to feel like a criminal and I was pumped full of a liquid to speed up my birth which was not in my birthing plan. This liquid made me feel complete pain which was not found in a normal delivery, also I was in for 1 week and it was like a cattle farm - rushing women to give birth and get released. I have a lot of complaints about the maternity. I also had an operation and felt like I was just a number and not spoken to clearly about the outcome, if I had things explained properly I would not be so depressed now. I have no teeth and can't seem to get anything to fit now. If I'd kept some teeth I would be much more likely to have dentures that fit, my jaw is all over the place and the dentist took the wrong mould before my operation to remove. I've never felt so low in my life, and my child is missing out because of this. I hope things can change for others in the future.
