"Basic resources"

About: Eccleshill Community Hospital

I had a rather bad reaction to insect bites bites: massive blisters and symptoms of cellulitis. Got given Flucoxacillin but the Dr wouldn't clean and dress the large blisters because it's an out of hrs gp with no nurse or triage!!! And if wanted it I would have to do it myself or go to A&E. That's a good use of A&E isn't it? In the meantime I'm left to waddle down to the nearest pharmacy and buy the products to clean and dress the wounds myself so that I do not waste the time or resources of a major illness unit.

Thank you for providing feedback about your poor experience. This service is not managed by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. I have passed your comments on to Local Care Direct, who provide the GP out of hour’s service.
