"Little information or dignity after male cystoscopy"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

Kept waiting nearly 2 hours with no update or information given as to why, the procedure was painful which I was sort of prepared for but with little or no dignity or after care.

I was just sent out of the room and told to get dressed but I was discharging and profusely bleeding, but no offer of any dressing or protective padding was provided. Hence I had to walk through the corridors looking like I had been seriously caught short.

No explanation as to how I would feel over the next few days which was extreme pain and inability to urinate. I suggest this department needs to have a lot more thought for what is a very intimate examination with obvious outcomes.

The only helpful person was an admin lady in the pre-ops dept who found some padding in a store cupboard although somewhat a bit late by then.
