"Laparoscopic cholecystectomy - Gallbladder removal"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

GP recommended I go to a&e due to the intense pain I was in, I was seen in a reasonable time (about 30-40 minutes) spoke to a nurse, a gp, and a surgical consult before being referred to the Surgical Assessment Unit, where a surgeon promptly checked me in to a ward. All of the staff were amazing, friendly, and overall completely supportive. They made me very comfortable despite the pain and fear of the op. The surgical team were informative and supportive, the anesthetists explained every step and made it very easy. Recovery on the ward was a piece of cake, I felt like there was always someone there to answer my questions and support me. Very very good experience at QA, I could not be more impressed with the level of care I received.
