Boyfriend was told he 'probably has a collapsed lung'...to later find out at A&E at Cramlington (where we were sent from the walk-in at Rake Lane, they also advised they would send over his notes and call ahead so they expected us- to which they did neither)...after hours of panic that there was no issue with his lungs/chest and it was his stomach!

Dear EB I hope that your boyfriend is recovering well. As you will know, we have recently changed the way we provide emergency care with the opening of our new Northumbria hospital at Cramlington where we have emergency care consultants working 24/7. This means our department at North Tyneside now offers a 24 hour walk-in service for less serious conditions. Your boyfriend would have been sent to the new hospital so he could be reviewed by a specialist. I’m sorry that you feel the process was not as smooth as it could have been and we would like to find out more detail.
