"Emergency Care"

About: Southend Hospital

In 2014 I was admitted to hospital with septicaemia. I t took several operations to discover the source and I was in ITU for a week and then in Kitty Hubbard and Hockley Ward for a further 3 weeks. During the whole of this time, and for outpatient appointments afterwards, me and my family received nothing but kindness and consideration and professional treatment. All the staff from consultants, nurses and auxiliaries were wonderful. My family and I were kept informed and involved in all decisions and felt confident that everything that could be done was. Thank you to everyone, without everyone's care and dedication I would not be here today.
