Thank you for providing comments about your visit to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. We recognise that a stay in hospital is often not the easiest of times for our patients, but we want to provide the highest quality services for all of our patients and make their stay as comfortable as possible. We are pleased to hear that your experience matched up to our aspirations.

Patients staying in many of our wards at RSH are starting to see new screens, which offer greater privacy to patients in each of the ward bays. Not only do the screens include blinds that can be opened and closed, but they also have sliding doors which help reduce noise at night. These screens (as well as replacement external windows) are being installed during the summer, so please bear with us and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you for your specific feedback about the food. We have recently reviewed all of our menus with the aim of providing nutritious, good value food to meet a wide range of dietary needs. On the whole, the feedback has been very positive, and we're glad that you found it to be "first-class".

Since this national website is anonymous your contact details are not shared with individual hospitals. However, if any members of staff (or the whole team!) were particularly deserving of thanks or recognition then you can nominate them for the Chairman's Award (see www.sath.nhs.uk/about/awards.asp for more details). The Chairman's Award is presented at every meeting of the Trust Board. It recognises and thanks members of staff who go that extra mile for their patients or for their colleagues.

More information about how to make comments, compliments and complaints about our services can be found on our website at www.sath.nhs.uk

Thanks again for taking the time to comment on our services.
