"Epistaxis: In-Patient Treatment"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

I am grateful for the excellent treatment I received from all the staff on Ward D8, including Doctors, Nurses and support staff. My only reservation is the delay in being transferred to a bed after the doctors treated me. With hindsight I am sure this was because of the time it takes for existing patients to be discharged thereby freeing up a bed. However I wasn't actually told this in as many words, it was a case of "I'll go and find out", but no clear explanation was given. Just a suggestion: any chance of your acquiring a recliner or two? That would be a lot more comfortable than sitting in an ordinary chair for 5 hours plus in the ambulatory room.

Thank you for taking the time to give your positive feedback regarding your treatment and care. I am sorry to hear that you experienced a delay in being transferred to a bed. Please be assured that your comments will be passed to the area concerned for learning purposes and for your suggestion to be given consideration. Kind regards. Debbie
