"Appalled"

About: Queen Marys Hospital (Sidcup)

I woke up this morning with one side of my face so swollen my eye was entirely shut. When I went to my GP, who was horrified and said they were not going to look at it and immediately referred me to Sidcup Eye specialists at St Mary's. Upon arrival I was seated and then seen to by a nice nurse, who had a gentle look at my eye and spoke to a doctor who said they would definitely like to look at it further as its not obvious what the problem was. I was seated again which was fine and then a different doctor called me over. This doctor made no eye contact with me, barely looked at my puffed up eye before saying it wasn't an eye issue, they couldn't do anything about it and that I should 'put some ice on it and see'. The doctor then looked down at their paper and told me I could leave. I left and subsequently feel angry and concerned that my illness hasn't been treated seriously or professionally. Absolutely disgusting. I am currently unable to see out of my eye and I've been told by a doctor to 'put some ice on it'. I'd like an explanation to this as soon as possible, I am not only appalled by the service but now very concerned that my eye is in danger.
