I have almost lived in this department for the past couple of years accompanied by my husband - every time. My latest surgery was 4 weeks ago in the Pod bays at the Peter Smith Surgery Centre.,I was extremely well looked after and needed to stay in for 2 nights and three days -which wasnt any problem for the staff. You were great but I must single out the main housekeeper. Their most important job was to supply the all important tea! The fracture clinics are always ridiculously busy but somehow everybody gets seen - if patient. My husband sat beside a lady recently, who had brought her magazine and lunch box and was quite happy to wait! The Consultant is a really lovely down to earth person, who always makes time for whoever wants to see them and has a very good team working for and with them, Finally the Plaster Room. This is such a busy room with staff who always give their best to all patients; never knowing how many patients they will have to see on any given day. I was fascinated at the speed of which the circular saws very quickly removed casts and equally the short time it took to put new ones on. Thank you to all of you from Jean McGowan. I mustn't forget the Consultant's wonderfully helpful secretary thank you
"Busy waiting room with all staff working flat out!"
