"St Mary's Newport, Isle of Wight"

About: St Mary's Hospital (Newport)

(as the patient),

Last weekend my husband and myself travelled to the Isle of Wight for a short break to visit relatives. My husband is a leg amputee and also a recent stroke victim having now lost his speech. Unfortunately he fell in the hotel room and injured his stump and left hand. The hotel called Paramedics who arrived promptly and examined him. They took us to St Mary's Hospital, Newport where he was assessed by a male nurse immediately, followed by a Doctor shortly afterwards. The Doctor (an extremely nice South African man) arranged x-rays and fortunately no bones had been broken but diagnosed very bad bruising to his stump and left hand.

We were treated quickly, efficiently and with kindness and pleasantness that was outstanding

I am pleased to say that my husband is improving and would like to thanks everyone that assisted us last weekend. You are outstanding!

Thank you
