"Terrible antenatal care"

About: Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley)

I recently had my baby at Royal County Surrey Hospital after requesting a transfer in my 38th week of pregnancy following a complete breakdown in confidence with FPH. My anxieties were not dealt with, I was not offered any counselling, introduced to any midwives, shown around the maternity facilities or given any support in the run up to the impending birth. I found the doctors unsupportive and deaf to my concerns. They did not offer any way forward, did not appear to follow NICE guidelines and seem to be focussed on targets/budgets rather than the patient. In the end I felt completely abandoned - a truly awful experience.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I am sorry that we weren't able to meet your expectations. I would like to assure you that we do work within the NICE clinical guidelines as part of our overall care for women. If you feel you would like to discuss this further please contact Adrienne Price, head of midwifery, on 01276 604210.
