I was detained here under a DOLL's order against the wishes of my wife ,folllowing a succesful hip operation at North Tees after which my sense of reality changed. During my stay I thought the staff caring and friendly even though my freedom had been taken from me.I have since found out from friends who visited that I was often left dirty soiled and unwashed. Here i was declared by a specialist doctor to have untreatable vascular dementia and sent to a nursing home. I am pleased to say I did recover and now live a full and active life at home with my wife, but still regret and feel angered about misdiagnoses , mistreatment and the loss of 6 months of my life wrongfully detained kept apart from my wife and home with loss of freedom
