I have honestly never encountered such a moody, unprofessional and simply rude member of reception staff as the one we have had the misfortune to deal with on each of our visits the Bancroft clinic. Lister hospital need to address the way this member of staff conducts themselves as on each of our four visits I have had to bite my lip for the benefit of my wife. If one of my team ever talked to another member of staff or a client the way this person does I would take disciplinary action immediately, it is simply not on. We have seen them huffing at the desk, throwing things around, ignoring people whilst making small talk with colleagues and being incredible abrupt when speaking to people who are talking with complete respect. It is absolutely clear they do not want to be in a patient facing role. Lister, please make a change for the better and move them into an admin role where patients don't have to deal with such tactless, unprofessional and miserable behavior. More to the point it is so out of keeping with every other professional we have dealt with at Lister, who have all been excellent.

What a shame that one person can spoil the experience for everyone else - and probably our staff too. We need to get this sorted, but to do that it would be very helpful if you would be willing to speak with our head of midwifery as she will need to establish the times and dates of your visits, as well as get a description, to establish precisely the person from amongst the receptionist team that needs tackling.
