"No helpful advice"

About: Southport & Formby District General Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My Dad was admitted to A&E at Southport Hospital & it took hours to be seen. He has been kept in for a few days & potentially diagnosed with a condition which could be quite life changing, however when he asked for advice, he was advised to look it up online by a nurse. He has not been eating or drinking properly & doesn't seem to be getting a great deal of support. I understand this will be because of understaffing or nurses being under too much pressure but really these things are they very basics of care & recovery.

I am hoping when he is discharged, he will get some advice however I do not feel overly confident.
