"End of life"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

My dad went in last September. Due to liver cirosses. He stayed in for 3 weeks. The nurse /doctors were terrible. We were told he could die any min. And we ended taking him home as they couldent put a care plan in place in time , so we cared for him instead. Many times we visited and his tube had come out or the needle had come out. Was never washed, no monitor of his food or drink intake till the last 2 days. Absolutely disgusting . Maybe because he was dying they dident feel the need to bother with him. Wouldent even let him have a separate room. Was quite happy for him to die in front of other patients on the ward . Sadly he died a day later at home. Something we also was not given any info about or what to expect. Terrible
