"New day centre in Largs"

I go to day service one day each week. The staff are excellent, they go out of their way to try and please everyone.

A couple of weeks ago we moved to a new building that can take more people, I don't know what it will be like when they double the numbers.

I've been going to the day centre for 8 years and really enjoyed it. I liked the old building, it was cosy and nice to sit out the back near the burn. It's selfish to think like that because there are a lot of people that need support so the new building is good for that. It will just take me a while to get used to the new place.

I pay £11. 50 for one day at the centre, it's quite a lot so I can't afford to go on more days. Transport and food is included. It's hard to get out, getting in and out of cars is a problem for me but there are no activities in the sheltered housing. I miss the warden, she used to organise things.
