"son fracture his wrist"

About: Leeds General Infirmary

I just want to say how fantastic the staff at the LGI were when I had to rush my son in with a broken wrist. (Last friday) The A&E nurse practitioner was both caring and supportive and also reassuring. They dealt with my son- 12y in a fantastic manner and just was brilliant. We went to X-ray where the radiographers were fantastic, saw about 4 different ortho doctors- all of whom were clear and supportive, porters were friendly helpful and kind, nurses on the ward that night were caring and thorough, they were so kind to me when I was upset after I'd had to leave Calum in the theatre. Anaesthetists too, were absolutely great. Consultant on the round the next morning was good too- spoke to Calum directly and made sure he understood what was happening. Review at fracture clinic was even a plesant experience- everyone was friendly and helpful and the registrar we saw was really kind to Calum. I just can't thank you enough, Lucy Clark

Dear Lucy Clark, Thank you for taking the time to write to us regarding your experience; It is wonderful to read such positive comments and I am so pleased that you and your son had such a positive experience whilst in our care. I have passed your comments onto the relevant management for the different departments that you attended so that they too can be aware of the great work that they are doing. I hope your son is doing well and is recovering quickly. With kind regards Rosie Senior nurse Patient Experience
