"Possibly the best hospital in the UK"

I've never had to wait more than an hour, and more usually you're seen within 30 mins. I have taken my elderly mother for emergency treatment, my wife, myself and others and have always been seen promptly and dealt with by the most friendly and reassuring staff. The outpatient services are also outstanding with x-ray, physiotherapy, MSKAT (a pre-assessment service for those with musculo-skeletal issues) and other services all on-time and run by dedicated and well trained staff. When my mother was hospitalised, she received specialist in-patient care and the visiting hours were made very flexible during a time of crisis - I honestly believe they gave my mother an extra 3 years of useful and fulfilling life. All this, and it's a real local hospital. Stroud General Hospital is all a hospital should be and an exemplar, a shining light of care and expertise. Probably the best hospital in the country? I think so.
