This story has been posted by Healthwatch Tameside on behalf of a member of the public who wanted to remain anonymous. They said...

An elderly lady visited the audiology appointment, accompanied by her carer, complaining of increased hearing loss. The audiologist removed the hearing aid from the patient’s ear and shouted when told the patient couldn’t hear her. The lady left the department with no clue what had been said.
