"I attended the hearing aid clinic ..."

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I attended the hearing aid clinic this afternoon for the purpose of

getting a second hearing aid fitted.

I was most impressed with the treatment I received. The Senior

Audiologist I saw, was exceptional in my opinion. In the

course of examining my ears she noticed something that caused her

concern. Not only did she seek a second opinion from a colleague but she

immediately arranged for one of the nurses to carry out an examination.

All this taking extra time in what was obviously a very busy clinic.

I am most grateful to the Audiologist for her high degree of professionalism,

care, concern and patience. She is a credit to her department.

I trust that my comments will be passed to your Hospital Management.

What could be improved

Although I did not have much time to read whilst in the waiting area, I think that the supply of magazines - many of which were well out of date - could be improved. As a large number of people dispose of magazines shortly after reading them, up to date reading matter should not be hard to source. This is not a big issue, just thought I would mention it.

Thanks very much for taking the trouble to post your comment. We have passed your comments about the exceptional Audiologist who saw you to the Chief Audiologist and we'll see if we can rustle up some more up-to-date magazines for the waiting room.
