"Poor food at DRI"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / Breast surgery

(as the patient),

I had breast surgery at the womens hospital on ward G5. All the staff were friendly and treated me with respect.

However, the food could have been better, particularly breakfast. Although the food was cooked very well, it was served lukewarm and the soup was barely warm.

Breakfast I thought was inadequate. I was offered a choice of cereals which equated to one Weetabix with a very small carton of milk (on one day the milk cartons were only half full and nursing staff were chasing up some more) and offered one slice of white bread and jam. Brown bread was not on offer, which I would have thought would have been a more healthier option.
