"Ridiculously long wait for blood test"

About: Altrincham General Hospital

Currently experiencing the longest wait ever for a blood test. Yet again, the NHS has invested in a shiny new building but not bothered to fund sufficient members of staff. I would rather wait for a shorter period of time in a shabby waiting room than for hours in a shiny one where two members of staff are trying to deal with 40-50 patients. The greeter is a lovely touch but how about more phlebotomists?? When will you ever learn??

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that your experience when visiting the new hospital was not as positive as we would hope.

We have recently recruited a new phlebotomist who will work cross site between Altrincham and Trafford Hospital. We will also ensure that the phlebotomy team at Altrincham always have a team leader there to help with the organisation of the department in the future.
