About: Southend Hospital

I became unwell in February 2015 and was found to have a problem with my only kidney. Since then I have had many dealings with a number of the urology consultants. I had major surgery on 3rd June 2015 and stayed on southbourne ward for 6 days. The care afforded to me by all staff was nothing short of exceptional. I have since had a minor operation also carried out by a urological consultant and again the care provided by this gentleman and his staff was outstanding. I have total confidence in the urology department of Southend university hospital.
